a global coalition of energy providers and industrial energy users for their joint efforts towards a carbon free economy.
It is more urgent than ever for global action to stop climate change. Also urgent is to advance a thriving economy. We must achieve climate change mitigation and economic growth simultaneously, and develop viable strategies to meet this goal.
The Carbon Free Alliance aims to respond to these calls.
We advocate ambitious climate actions but we are technology neutral.
The Carbon Free Alliance welcomes all energy sources and related technologies as long as they contribute to advancing carbon free economy. We aim to be a global coalition of energy providers and industrial energy users for their joint effort towards a carbon free economy.
We are keen on addressing challenges faced by the energy- and emissions-intensive industries, which are very often key sectors driving the economy, especially in developing countries. Achieving global net-zero by mid-century depends on how rapidly developing countries reduce emissions.
The Carbon Free Alliance aims to facilitate the rapid deployment of carbon free energy especially in developing countries. The objectives of the Carbon Free Alliance are in line with the Carbon Free Energy Initiative proposed by the President of the Republic of Korea at the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in 2023. The Carbon Free Alliance plans to be a platform open to all stakeholders sharing the vision of technology-neutral carbon free economy.
Korea is ready to work with all stakeholders supporting this vision.
The Carbon Free Alliance invites you to join us on the journey to achieving the global goal of protecting nature and advancing the economy.
