The Carbon Free Alliance is designing a certification system to promote carbon free energy usage by businesses, utilizing various carbon free energy sources including renewable energy, nuclear power, CCUS, and green hydrogen from a technology-neutral perspective. This system is developed in collaboration with member companies and like-minded countries of the Carbon Free Alliance, building on various existing programs.
Based on the certification system, we aim to promote international standards for carbon free energy and foster international consensus on the importance of carbon free energy and its role in addressing climate change.
We use international conferences and similar events to put carbon free energy on the agenda and to promote its use on a global scale. Through our outreach efforts, we will contribute to strengthening global consensus on the expansion of carbon free energy, including in hard-to-abate industrial sectors.
We will promote the active participation of various stakeholders, including governments, private sectors, and international organizations. Throughout these activities, we also aim to reduce the divide between developed and developing countries in climate vulnerability and responses.
